A Big Night for the Raptors. A Slam Dunk for The Score.
Oct. 29, 2009 (Canada NewsWire Group) --

TORONTO, Oct. 29 /CNW/ -- Score Media Inc. (TSX: SCR) today announced that it drew a record audience of 420,000 during last night's broadcast of the Toronto Raptors first regular season game, with a peak audience of 741,000 during the last half-hour. As the Raptors delivered a win over the Cleveland Cavaliers, The Score delivered the highest regular season Raptors audience across any Canadian network within the last decade.

"With a previous Raptors regular season high of 238,000 viewers on our network, we are ecstatic about the audience for last night's game," says John Levy, Chairman and CEO, Score Media Inc. "The buzz around this place yesterday was one of pure excitement and from our pre-game interviews to our post-game recap, we feel that our unique approach to covering basketball and our strong relationships with our basketball partners have contributed to this growing success."

Taking into account last night's sports line-up, featuring a Toronto Maple Leafs game and Game One of the World Series, The Score's ratings are even more impressive particularly within the 18-34 demo where the broadcast outscored the World Series game with an average audience of 103,000.

In addition to the television ratings, The Score also experienced a record night on ScoreMobile, its leading BlackBerry and iPhone mobile application and attracted the highest number of visitors to theScore.com this fall.
