Nov. 5, 2009 (Business Wire) -- The board of directors of the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) today elected John Daane, president, chief executive officer, and chairman of the board of Altera Corporation, as its 2010 chairman. Ray Stata, chairman of the board of Analog Devices Incorporated, was elected vice chairman.
"John and Ray have had long and successful careers with their companies and will provide excellent leadership to the microelectronics industry as we confront challenges on many fronts,” said SIA President George Scalise. “While the semiconductor industry is well positioned to return to growth as the global economy recovers from recession, we must redouble our efforts to support public policies that will enhance the competitive and innovative capabilities of U.S. companies."
