HBAN will go UP
$8.00 on 7/22/09
$3.78 (18.13% from time of market call)
HBAN having cleaned house and writing down bad deals is in a position to move fwd as a stock. So...no further surprises this quarter or next? With a clean (er) loan portfolio than most banks overall it will become a relative strength in an industry saddled with marked up garbage. They can look strong after a quarter or two. I believe that they will pay a dividend before the end of the year and rise from these ashes stronger and prepared to stand up and capitalize on the (more) distressed situations in the industry.
I expect HBAN to be over 8.00 in July. Could perform better than BAC though Q2.
'..Our relationship with Franklin Credit Management has been the primary worry of our investors. As such, my first priority was to take steps to address Franklin as an investor issue, which I believe we have now done.'
from HBAN Jan conference call.
Mr. Clean. I believe him and I'd target $8 in the early third quarter.
