The Board of Directors of Universal Forest Products today announced a semi-annual dividend of six cents per share, payable June 15, 2009 to shareholders of record on June 1, 2009. The Executive Chairman, William Currie, stated, "We are pleased to offer this dividend to the valued investors who place their trust in us. They honor and encourage us, and we're working hard to continue to earn their confidence and to make sure they remain pleased with their investment in Universal." In early trading today, Universal Forest Products was trading up 1.4% on above average volume. In other dividend news, Qwest Communications International announced its quarterly dividend of eight cents per share, an annualized yield of 2.21% on the recent share price of $14.47. Peabody Energy announced its quarterly dividend of six cents per share, an annualized yield of 0.94% on the recent share price of $25.40. Sealed Air Corporation announced its quarterly dividend of twelve cents per share, an annualized yield of 3.11% on the recent share price of $15.44. Omega Healthcare Investors announced its quarterly dividend of thirty cents per share, an annualized yield of 8.05% on the recent share price of $14.90. In dividend increase news, Consolidated Edison announced its quarterly dividend of fifty nice cents per share, an annualized yield of 6.12% on the recent share price of $38.56. This is an increase of point eight five percent over the dividend a year ago of fifty eight point five cents. PPG Industries announced its quarterly dividend of fifty three per share, an annualized yield of 4.60% on the recent share price of $46.11.
