DLTR will go UP
$35.00 on 5/30/08
$56.42 (78.54% from time of market call)
With less spending money, consumers are much more likely to purchase items at the dollar store. DLTR, or the Dollar Tree is a fairly popular store where every product sold is exactly $1.
They are located in shopping centers and malls, and are the nations largest dollar store chain with over 3,400 stores in all 48 contiguous states.
Dollar Tree reported total sales for its fiscal fourth quarter 2007 of $1.30 billion. Total sales have increased 5.0% from sales of $1.24 billion in the comparable 13-weeks of the fourth quarter 2006.
They will have $201.3 million in estimated net income for 2008 versus $192 million net income for the 2007 year. Looks like a good option. I would say that this company stands out in the currently sluggish retail market.
