Scott's Investments submits:Below is a list of ETFs hitting (but not necessarily closing at) 52 week highs as of the close on Tuesday, August 4th. Please note I filtered the screen by requiring the ETFs to have an average volume of at least 50k in order to filter some low volume issues. Stocks reaching 52 week highs in full are listed below. However, please note that only 3 of them have been trading for at least 52 weeks; in addition, two funds (UPRO & MWJ) are leveraged funds. The 3 ETFs that have been trading for 52 weeks are EMB, EWM, and PFF. The inclusion of PFF is interesting - it had serious issues during the financial meltdown given the overexposure preferred stocks tend to have to the financial sector. However, as financials have rallied so has PFF; in addition, it yields around 8%. The % in the moving average column is the percent the security is trading above the moving average.
