They keep trying make it harder to collect our winnings because they may be getting their funding yanked. They now apply a margin call system that doesn't work like the real world either. I had $1M buying power going into a particular session and bought stocks that day and they sold me out despite having appreciated out of my call. This whole site is turning into bunk and might fail soon. Particularly because they reward 1 month performance now, what hedge fund is going to pay for high risk and inconsistent returns data?

akaperne, We certainly should have done a better job implementing our margin call system earlier. You are right about that. We are doing our best to make things as realistic and as fair as possible to everyone in the competition. We apologize for the confusion here. As for our funding, please do not spread rumors that are no where close to being true! UpDown has been in and continues to be in great shape with strong backing. UpDown's system doesn't utilize a true margin system, though, so the 50-30 doesn't matter. They are just trying to eliminate purchasing that results in negative buying power. It really is an effort to maintain an equitable trading environment.
