I suspect something about the way they handle business, meaning there rules and regulations. They dont do business with any western methodolgy. Another thing that leads me to this suspision is there high interest in taking the dollar out as the main trading currency. We all know that china has heavily invested in U.S debt. So much debt that they dont know what to do, as the dollar has wakened so has China's interest and invesntments in the U.S. They invested in our Debt to keep the dollar strong, increasing there profits and keeping there labor cheap to attract more businesses. Well the economic forces have proven otherwise, so now the chinese are looking of ways to get rid of the dollars. They cant just flood the market with it, cuz there profits will sink and disrupt there economy. This is why the major topic now is getting rid of the U.S dollar in world trade, replacing it with maybe the euro or the pound. I wouldn't invest in the long term. If youre a day trader. Then get in get out, take what u earned without remorse. </div> Group Discussion Tue, 14 Jul 2009 16:27:45 EDT UpDown Group Discussion Reply What about Britain http://www.updown.com/Going-Global/group-discussions/1823 <div>By <a href=http://www.updown.com/member/Innova>Innova</a></div><div>OK we have all this talk about recovery in the US, the rising power of China, Asia will be the first out of recession and will lead the economy... But what about Britain? The UK are slowly recovering, but are having a combination of political & social issues. Their currency is falling while the euro is rising. However, in three years they will host 2012 summer Olympics, and its a shocker that no one ever mention to buy the UK. From a long-term investor POV its understandable but from a short-term investor & trader POV, I don't see why not! Can any of you explain this to me because I'm really confuse at this prospect. </div> Group Discussion groupDiscussion-3987 Sun, 14 Jun 2009 14:05:49 EDT UpDown Group Discussion RE: China stocks, the future, and your input http://www.updown.com/Going-Global/group-discussions/1823 <div>By <a href=http://www.updown.com/member/Innova>Innova</a></div><div>Hey I'm new here and just joined 2 days ago and joined the group yesterday. I want to learn how to invest using technical methods so I'll be prepare to do it RT & work in the financial industry. Although I am only HS junior, I'd planned on majoring in international business/finance w/ Japanese focus. I hope to learn from your experience and eventually become friends. Lets be honest China is the future of the global economy rather we like it or not. Analyst says China is the G2 with US (not Britain, not Japan, but China). They have been building since after WWII, during that time they culminated & save money to construct themselves into the country they are today as witness last year's Olympics. Financial & Autos are hovering for government invention in the US, political anarchy, society, & economic chaos in Europe, & Struggling maintenance order of banks in Japan giving China & many other emerging grant opportunities if they have the money. Realistic by January 2010, Asia will mostly be out of recession and will flourish once Japan joins their rally. You have many American & European institutions & experts saying look to Asia because for the next few years that's where the economy will be driving while Europe & US works on reinventing themselves. </div> Group Discussion Tue, 26 May 2009 20:46:33 EDT UpDown Group Discussion Reply RE: WEMU and LLFH http://www.updown.com/Going-Global/group-discussions/1823 <div>By <a href=http://www.updown.com/member/Economics>Economics</a></div><div>They sound like decent picks. I think the energy sector could be a good way to go as we move into the Summer months. I am not to sure about the oil company's but I think further research into the renewable energy sector is definetly the way to go. </div> Group Discussion Fri, 08 May 2009 02:30:59 EDT UpDown Group Discussion Reply WEMU and LLFH http://www.updown.com/Going-Global/group-discussions/1823 <div>By <a href=http://www.updown.com/member/ChrysRedChip>ChrysRedChip</a></div><div>Worldwide Energy and Manufacturing: WEMU is now up 80% in the last two weeks. Anyone who needs ideas on what to trade should visit my website http://JBPicks.com There are free daily picks and you do not need to register. My best tip recently is not to trade during the first and last 30 minutes of each trading day. Reversals often occur at these times. When the market opens high it frequently sells off for the rest of the day. If you want to close your positions at the end of the day, do it early for the best price especially when you have to buy to cover shorts. Good luck fellow traders. I did not trade in January (here), but I am back with some new tools.
