Hello everyone, I am a highschool student and we started using this site. I do not know what I am doing, so im looking for low stocks and buying them and waiting for them to make money then I sell them. Is this a bad or good thing? Any Ideas how I should look at this?

Hi all I just joined this site, and I've never invested before, a day in my life! I was just wondering if anyone can show me how it's done, how to tell which stocks I should invest in, and not invest in, you know things like that to get me going.

How quickly do some of you go through a buy/sell cycle? Could in be within the same day once you made a bit of money or do you guys usually give it a few days?

Shorting Stock

I'm a little confused about how to get out of a shorting position. Do I Buy To Cover or Sell? If I Buy To Cover am I out of the position then or do I still have to sell the stock?

Also how does the Stop Order work in regards to shorting a stock?
