I would like to see how the groupe feels about slowly dipping a toe into the home builders. I think that TOL, might be at a great price to start buying in. let me know your thoughts?

Some Questions

Boohya!!! to everyone out there.

I am relatively new to investing and I just had a few questions that I hope someone can help me out on. I'm a double major in Accoutning and Corporate Finance. I've been asking my professors and the older students this very question since I started college. The Question being " What specifically do I look for in the balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash to flow to determine if the company that I'm looking at is worth investing iin?" I have not really gotten a clear cut answer to this question so answer that can clear up my confusion is greatly appriciated. Furthermore, I was also wondering if those things change in a big name company versus a company whose stocks are considered "penny stocks".

Thank you to all.

There needs to be some NUE stock in this portfolio. If you watch Cramer, NUE is the way to go. The CEO of Nucor was one the show just the other day, lets not forget Duke either (DUK).

Change of Strategy

Should we be changing our portfolio strategy to get upward momentum? Do we have too many holdings and should we be trading more often and not in a buy and hold phase?

Do we invest in some tech stocks and take the risky volitility ride now? Tech is up one day and down the other.

We need activity in this group to grow our portfolio.

Why does this group follow the S & P so closely

as stated.

I check my portfolio on here once a month, and haven't updated it in about 6 months, and still seem to beat the s & p by 25%...
