It should be no surprise Wal-Mart is a good buy during tough economic times. People may love beating up on this corporate giant and portray it as an "evil empire" when the economy is doing great, but when their financial cushions aren't doing as well, folks will always look for the best price. I think the fact that they are the only member of the Dow Jone's Industrial Average that's stock turned up at the end of last quarter says a lot.
