It's a simple formula AND Reagan said it best: "Are you better off today than you were eight years ago?" If you answer Yes, then vote Republican and McCain. But if you have been downsized, trickle-downed on, forgotten, foreclosed on, and just plain screwed in the last eight years, then vote Democratic and Obama. And Mr. Business Owner, if you think John McCain is going to give you a cut in your taxes and help you ask yourself this--why didn't he and the Republicans help me instead of the big oil companies and big businesses in the last eight years? Do you think they will change? Not likely. And College Students out there, remember this, we know you are patiotic, but who will bring back the draft? John McCain. He said so. Who will end wars and use diplomatic tools? Obama. He includes this in his platform. And American Soldier. Who talks about benefits for you? Both men. Who actually votes for those benefits? Not John McCain, but Obama. Remember that. And finally, American Worker. When your job is being sent overseas, who is there for you? It's not the Republican Party and John McCain. Obama wants to bring those jobs home with tax credits for companies, "green jobs," and the rebuilding of America's infrastructure, coupled with a national energy policy, energy conservation, health care delivery system, etc., etc. Who has run the better campaign? Who has responded better during the financial crisis? Who has presented well thought-out plans to remedy some of America's most intractable problems? VOTE FOR THE OBAMA/BIDEN TICKET AND A STRAIGHT DEMOCRATIC TICKET! LET'S PUT OUR BEST AND OUR BRIGHTEST TO WORK! </div> Group Discussion groupDiscussion-3595 Sat, 01 Nov 2008 21:28:30 EDT UpDown Group Discussion RE: Landslide for Obana/Biden? http://www.updown.com/Republican-Party-Investment-Group/group-discussions/3191 <div>By <a href=http://www.updown.com/member/Turtleread>Turtleread</a></div><div>Well, I sure think people do NOT want more of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney and they are loud and clear about that. McCain/Palin are running as mavericks. We really saw a calm, quiet, thoughful man in Obama rather than a man who dashes here and there echoing sound and fury everywhere. I have always liked McCain personally, but some real personality quirks have shown me that he is ill-suited to be President. Even our senior Republican Senator Thad Cochran commented on his temperment and said he would not wish to see McCain with his finger on the "nuclear button."</div> Group Discussion Wed, 29 Oct 2008 00:34:40 EDT UpDown Group Discussion Reply RE: Landslide for Obana/Biden? http://www.updown.com/Republican-Party-Investment-Group/group-discussions/3191 <div>By <a href=http://www.updown.com/member/EvaN6>EvaN6</a></div><div>God help us, if he wants after some of the choices people are making. I am predicting a win for the Obama/Biden ticket on Nov. 4th with 320 electoral college votes. I see Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and North Carolina in his column. Florida and Virginia are still toss-ups right now. What are you seeing on the McCain/Palin side?</div> Group Discussion groupDiscussion-3566 Sat, 25 Oct 2008 01:39:15 EDT UpDown Group Discussion RE: Beating the Demcratic Party http://www.updown.com/Republican-Party-Investment-Group/group-discussions/3191 <div>By <a href=http://www.updown.com/member/Turtleread>Turtleread</a></div><div>I'm always up for a bit of friendly competition.
