Created indexes for Stem Cells, and Biotech ETFs

Created a stem cell index of 25 stocks, and it's up 46% year-to-date, compated to 13% for the top four biotech ETFs. We'll track these two daily, and add a couple more for the rest of biotech. Hey all, tho I still love this site (for the most part) I have not participated for many months - yet I would still love to have this group reach higher profits!

my DNDN short killed us, so I'm gonna reset this... 4.14.09

We had DNDN long, made some money, then went short when it spiked up. (not my decision alone - I had another admin's advice, we both agreed it looked like a good short...)

The stock was halted after yesterday's trading at 7, and not even a stop loss would have saved this as it re-opened this a.m. at 25!!

THIS is the main reason I don't like to short stocks, you can make a little or lose a lot - in our case our max gain would have been 140k, instead we lost over 200k on this position alone, and since all price movement while NOT trading, nothing would have saved this. (Just a bad decision to short something that could have good news).

I do better on Swing Trades anyway, that port, even though short DNDN, is still around 1.2m. Maybe it's b/c I only trade at night or weekends, don't get sucked in by daily gyrations.

SO, I'm gonna RESET the STT port and let others have this one - I can't trade this market short-term at Updown, it takes 5 minutes to execute a trade, on broadband or dialup, I've tried both, same big delays in either case - so I get so frustrated that I don't hardly trade here at all anymore.

Good thing it's play money here - too bad the real market doesn't work this way also!

I was in GERN here from 5 on in various ports - in 98-00 it went from 3.50 to 75, while STEM ran from .53 to 20.00 - on ANIMAL testing! Now they're injecting HUMANS..

and the fed ban on funding is still there - OBAMA will lift that later - get some and hang on!
