Sirius XM Narrows Q3 Loss

Sirius XM (SIRI) dramatically narrowed its third quarter loss, to $149 million, or 4 cents per share, as compared to a loss of $4.88 billion, or $1.93 per share, in the same quarter last year, which included goodwill charges. Revenue was up 3 percent, to $629.6 million, partially helped by rate increases and premium programming. Sirius said it has 18.5 million subscribers at the end of the third quarter, up by more than 100,000 as compared to the second quarter of this year, but down 2 percent as compared to last year.
