What I love about the Renewable Energy sector is that during
mid-2007 out of the 140 top companies in RE, they had a combined
market cap of over $100 Billion, each having a market cap of over
$40 million. You however have found one of the leaders and I am
going to buy as soon as I can.

This looks pretty good on the charts I keep at other websites. If I had more purchasing power I might buy some myself, but I'll keep it on my watchlist anyway.

I'm assuming these are volume and not price contracts. Given the current shortage in supply right now, a lot of companies are (over)investing in capacity, which will put dramatic pressure on the pricing power upstream the supply chain (from 50% op margins to perhaps 30%). According to reports, costs will be down 40% within 3 years if you want to be competitive, so I'm not sure STP will be at such an advantage since everyone is expected to do the same. Generally, I expect margin compression in the wafers area and they will have to consolidate downstream for margin-stacking. I can see a real opportunity if they have vertical integration opportunities that they are better positioned to capitalize on because of their geography, scale, and scope (they see, more diversified than other module players).

If only George W. would commit the U.S. stronger to alternative energy by signing CO2 emission reduction plans...
