FLR: Time to overweight infrastructure stocks?

Yes, there are time when your actual portfolio may differ from your virtual portfolio on UpDown. Over the last few weeks, I have been tracking various infrastructure/engineering stocks - many of which I STILL hold in my various Scottrade accounts. Why? Because part of being a good investor is developing a real strategy based on current market conditions and future expectations. The longest we can honestly try to forecast is 12 months. The market, which had been so good to the FLR's, SGR's, FWLT's, MDR's, PWR's, ASTE's, EME's, and CBI's of the world... suddenly shifted. For example, CBI is down over -75% in the last 12 months. Even with the comfortable gains you can have in a position, that type of decline sure takes a lot of profit off the table for you that you watched from 2005 to 2007, doesn't it? I don't want to categorize investors, but, be honest, you do have a tendency to buy high and hope it goes higher. When prices are low, like they are now, you sit on your hands. Why? Because you are waiting on a shift in momentum. You need confirmation from others before you pull your money out. I think it's time to make infrastructure/egineering a significant portion of your portfolio for 2009, especially with Barack Obama now in office. These stocks have already seen somewhat of a rebound in the last 3 months. Don't wait until the ridiculous gains are swallowed up by the brave, do something now! And I'll tell you now, I am also looking at water infrastructure stocks too... I'm just trying to see if that area will be part of America's infrastructure plan. Let me know what you think.
