MVL: Will Marvel be the next big thing in movies?

I have collected Marvel comics my entire life. I wish I was smarter and had the money to get into this stock when I first started watching it, when it was at 3 dollars a share. Marvel and Stan Lee have over 5000 characters to chose from. The fan base alone on these characters are amazing. If you have ever gone to a ComicCon you would understand. If you want to say, oh those people are nerds they dress up like Spiderman etc.. then you need a kick in the head. These "nerds" are the ones who created the Iron Man explosion. World wide it made $575,260,376 total at end of theater viewing. Iron Man had a production budget of 186,000,000. That's a total profit of about 389 million dollars. The Incredible Hulk World wide made $259,264,082 total at end of theater viewing. With a production budget of $137,500,000. That's a total profit of about 121 million dollars. So their 1st 2 movie releases Marvel has brought in over 500 million in profits. Over the next 3 years Marvel will be releasing Iron Man 2, Thor, The First Avenger: Captain America and The Avengers (which will include Iron Man, Thor, possibly Ant Man, and the possible fight with The Hulk...if the movies stay true to comics). That's 4 movies that in my humble opinion will gross 300-400 million each. Even if you didn't the Hulk movie, you will go see him get his butt kicked don't even deny it. There are reports that say there will be 2 movies in 2010 (Iron Man & Thor), and 2 in 2011 (both Avenger movies). With each release being about 3-4 months apart. Now look at DVD sales. The first being Iron Man. Which broke the Blue Ray sales record in 2 days. If you do some numbers..575million world wide...which means about 63million people saw the movie (assuming 9 bucks per person, might be low but lets assume its a world wide average of all theaters). Now lets assume 63million people were couples so DVD sales would be 1/2 of 63 million equaling 31.5 million at 24.99 each..which equals about 787 million in DVD sales. Even if you take half that even which would be 393 million dollars...Marvel is a money pit of profit for the next 2 or 3 years. I will refrain from going into the hulk numbers. they will be large as well. Probably better then what it did in the Movie theaters. Just because on Blu-ray the quality of picture will just be eye dropping with the special effects. Will Marvel be the next big thing in movies? My Answer: Yes, without a doubt. That's my opinion. Hope someone takes something out of it.
